Welcome to 2016, which according to the promise of the Lord to us as a ministry is our year of Overflow. Our experience as a ministry, for which we are all living witnesses, has been that whatever God says to us, He performs. Especially as we work and walk with Him. This is in consonance with His nature as stated severally in the scriptures: He is faithful that promised (Hebrews 10:23); Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass (1 Thessalonians 5:24 NASB); and, I will hasten my word to perform it (Jeremiah 1:12). It is therefore important that we all position ourselves and get ready to receive and enjoy every single blessing that is contained in this year of Overflow.

Overflow is definitely God’s plan for us. In the gospel of Luke 6:38, Jesus speaks about giving us a pressed down, shaking together and running over (overflowing) blessing. In Psalm 23:5 (NIV), God promises that when He prepares a table (diverse openings and opportunities) before us and anoints our head with oil (enabling capacity) we will experience an overflow. It is interesting to note that He is the one that both opens the door and also enable us to meet the demands of the open door in order to succeed therein. From a scriptural perspective, the word “Overflow” means several things: no scarcity; all-round blessings; sufficient supply; and, fullness. It speaks eloquently about the capacity of the source, God, to work through us to surpass every expectation in meeting every single need and responding adequately to every challenge that arises
From the beginning, God has always been clear about His desire to not only bless us but additionally, to also make us a blessing, to the extent of becoming a source of blessing to nations (Genesis 12:2-3). Zechariah 8:13 declare that He will save us and make us a blessing. 2 Corinthians 9:8 affirm, “And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others” (NLT). These scriptures, and many others, provide a basis for God’s active desire to cause us to experience Overflow in every area of our lives. Been needy, beggarly and unable to rise up to occasions of meeting needs does not glorify God, neither does it attract people to God as it renders us practically irrelevant.
May I therefore summon you to brace up, enlarge your expectations, and increase your intensity of focus and pursuit as we position for the visitation of God for Overflow in this year 2016. Also remember, according to Hebrew 4:1-2, to guide against any thing that will obstruct your participation in this season of overflow, lest a promise been left us we fall short of it for any reason whatsoever. For some, it didn’t profit them because it was not mixed with faith in them. They doubted or trivialized the word and therefore missed out on it. God’s principles remain the same: blessed is she that believes, there shall be a performance of the things spoken to her by the Lord  (Luke 1:45); believe in the Lord your God, so shall you be established; believe His prophets, so shall you proper (2 Chronicle 20:20).
When the scorecard of 2016 is out at the end of the year, may you see all that the Lord would have done in you, for you, and through you and scream in amazement: Praise the Lord!
